SAE International | SEO, Content Editing, and Strategy Development

Scope of Work  

I work as a consultant with SAE International, where I play a key role in supporting AI content Proof of Concept (POC) projects and driving strategic growth initiatives. My responsibilities include collaborating with teams to develop and refine innovative AI-driven solutions, ensuring these concepts align with the organization's goals and deliver measurable outcomes. By leveraging my expertise, I help SAE International explore new opportunities and implement strategies that promote long-term growth and success.

Responsibilities

What follows are duties I carry out for SAE International in this role: 

1. POC Development & Strategic Planning

• Lead the creation and optimization of the POC for SAE to learn from AI-assisted content strategies for organic growth without any risk of penalization from SEO.
• Establish a scalable approach to content strategy that aligns with SEO and UX best practices for organic traffic, keyword growth, and audience engagement.
• Collaborate closely with SAE stakeholders to identify and prioritize content themes that resonate with SAE's target audiences.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Implementation

• Coordinate with content creators, strategists, and SEO specialists across SAE to implement best practices and align on a content framework that respects copyright, security, and SAE’s brand integrity.
• Provide strategic guidance and insights by participating in cross-departmental meetings, fostering understanding of AI-driven content workflows and their role in enhancing SAE’s digital reach.

3. Development of Resources & Stakeholder Education

• Design supporting documentation, workflows, presentations (PowerPoint, diagrams, maps) to convey the strategic vision, expected outcomes, and practical examples from the POC.
• Act as a resource for training sessions or AI content workshops, equipping SAE teams with tools and methodologies for AI-integrated content strategies.
• Provide backup support for the SAE UI/UX and SEO manager as needed.

4. Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Regularly monitor the performance and growth of POC content in alignment with traffic, engagement, and keyword rankings.
• Adjust and iterate on the strategy based on performance data, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and insights.

Role Expectations

• Work remotely. Participate in key stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Majority of the time will initially be spent strategizing and communicating vision along with research and development of POC’s AI content strategy.
• After implementation this will transfer to writing and editing along with reviewing other writers’ content. In addition to researching content and working to develop ideas with others in the organization.
• Generally, back up and perform the same duties as the SAE UIUX/SEO (AI product manager).
