I’m excited to share a new direction for Scratch Writing. For a long time, this site carried a little bit of everything: client work, business updates, blog experiments, side projects, fiction news, and the occasional idea that probably made sense to me at the time.

Some of that history still matters. It helped me figure out what Scratch Writing could become. But going forward, I want this site to feel less like a scattered business brochure and more like what it truly is now:

My creative home.

Scratch Writing will be the central place for my books, magazine writing, publishing updates, author notes, and the creative projects that connect everything together.

At the heart of that are the books.

The Midas Protocol launched The Midas Files, and Call of the Minotaur continues the series in a much bigger way. This site will be the place to follow those books, learn more about the world behind them, and keep up with what comes next.

Alongside the books, I’m also reshaping Scratch Magazine into the article side of Scratch Writing. Instead of maintaining a bunch of disconnected blogs, Scratch Magazine will bring those interests together under one roof: writing,  stories, movies, humor, technology, author life, and behind-the-scenes reflections.

At first glance, those topics may seem unrelated. But to me, they all connect through storytelling.

That is the larger purpose of Scratch Writing now. It is not just a company name or a place to list services. It is the publishing identity behind my creative work and the home base for the stories, ideas, and interests that feed the books.

Scratch Writing is author-led. It is personal. It is built around my books, my magazine writing, my creative interests, and my long-term goal of becoming a stronger storyteller.

So that is how I want to write here. Not as a faceless company. Not as a pretend publishing empire. Just as myself — building something one book, one article, and one idea at a time.

Some older articles may be archived, revised, or retired as I clean up the site and make room for this new direction. Others may remain as part of the history. But from here on out, the focus will be clearer.

Scratch Writing is for the books. Scratch Magazine is for the articles. Scratch Writing Press is the publishing imprint behind the work. Together, they give me a creative platform that can grow over time without losing the personal connection that makes it worth building in the first place.

The old version of Scratch Writing was about possibility. This new version is about direction. Welcome to the next chapter.
