Wings, Good Times, and Familiar Faces
Where's your go-to place for chicken wings in Pittsburgh?
That's a serious question around these parts. Pittsburgh has no shortage of great wing joints, and everybody seems to have a favorite.

Well, Noodles was on the loose again, and this time we're heading to Hal's Bar & Grill on Babcock Boulevard in Ross Township, right in the heart of Pittsburgh's North Hills.
And let me tell you something. Noodles likes his wings.
Hal's serves up some mighty fine ones. They're meaty, tender, generously sized, and come with a terrific selection of sauces. Whether you like your wings sweet, spicy, tangy, or somewhere in between, there's plenty to choose from.
And here's a little insider tip: Wednesday is wing night at Hal's.
Noodles has been known to wander in on a Wednesday for no other reason than to grab a plate of wings. Sometimes that's all the excuse you need.
But here's the thing about Hal's. It's more than just a good wing joint.
This is one of those North Hills watering holes that strikes a nice balance between neighborhood bar and something a little more upscale. It's comfortable, a bit urbane, and always seems to have a good crowd.

It's a great place for a casual date night, meeting friends for a drink, or just pulling up a stool and seeing who's around.
In fact, Noodles has been hanging around enough lately that he's starting to recognize some of the regulars. And the bartenders? Friendly folks who help make the place feel like somewhere you belong.
That's one of the things I really like about Hal's. You can come for the food, but it's the people and the atmosphere that make you want to come back.
And speaking of food, there's plenty more to enjoy beyond those wings.
I'm also a fan of the quesadillas, the wonderfully creative meatloaf cupcakes, and, of course, one of my all-time weaknesses: onion rings.
Ah, onion rings. Noodles has rarely met a good one he didn't like.

So whether you're planning a Wednesday wing run, looking for somewhere to take a date, or just hunting for a friendly neighborhood watering hole in Pittsburgh's North Hills, Hal's deserves a spot on your list.
Good wings. Good food. Friendly people. Good times.
What's not to like?
Noodles on the Loose gives Hal's Bar & Grill a hearty recommendation.
